Welcome to Steeton Primary School.
We are situated in the village of Steeton and we serve a wide geographical community across Steeton and Keighley. We are a happy, caring school with wonderful children. We are approachable and honest and our staff are valued, empowered and supported to deliver the best for every child.
Staff at Steeton are exceptional: compassionate and kind with the highest expectations for every child in their care.
We develop enquiring minds through a bespoke curriculum and a high-quality pupil offer. This is underpinned by our FOREST principles: friendship, opportunity, resilience, empathy, self-awareness and teamwork.
In Early Years, we believe in the power of play. We use the Development Matters guidance to understand and support each child’s individual journey through their first year with us. We embrace Greg Bottrill’s Drawing Club through to Year 2, where children are immersed in the magical world of storytelling whilst enriching their language and fine motor skills. We believe that reading and writing should be a pleasure, rooted in imagination and vocabulary.
I am privileged to be the Head of School at Steeton Primary School. Please take the time to browse our site and find out more about our school. You are more than welcome to visit us and to see for yourself what makes us so special.
